New Credit 4 You

Credit Repair F.A.Q.

1| Can I Do This Myself?

YES YOU CAN, but do you have the time, knowledge and resources to do it? You can repair the transmission in your car yourself as well but many of us don't have the expertise to do so. Why not have a professional in your corner to help you?

2| Can I Contact The Credit Bureaus Myself?

ABSOLUTELY and you are encouraged to if have any questions about your reports. You can review a free report from the credit bureaus at www.annualcreditreport.com 1 time a year (it is helpful to be at a place that you can print it).

3| Do you create new identities or credit reports for your clients?

No. It’s against the law to create “new” identities or credit reports. This is a serious crime that can result in fines and/or imprisonment. Beware of companies that advocate creating “new” identities or credit reports.

4| Do you advise to dispute all information in your credit report, regardless of accuracy?

No. We only advise you to dispute questionable negative items. You have the right to dispute questionable negative items and any credit information you feel to be inaccurate, incomplete, unverifiable, or obsolete.

5| How can I get free copies of my credit reports from all 3 major credit bureaus?

The fastest and easiest way to obtain free copies of all 3 credit reports and scores is by visiting CreditPuller.com. You can also access creditchecktotal.com, which is the official website to help consumers obtain all 3 credit reports once every 12 months.

6| What, if any, are the legal repercussions of fighting the bureaus?

There are none! You have the right and authority to challenge any information on your credit profile. Accelerate Credit Repair takes advantage of the legal system and is able to challenge the negative items, on your behalf, with the bureaus. Our attorneys require that every item that is disputed be verified by the bureaus and that each item undergoes an extensive checklist concerning the accuracy of the derogatory information.

7| What entities dictate your Credit Score, and are they somehow tied to the government?

The “Big 3″, as they are often called, Equifax, Experian, and TranUnion, are the major consumer reporting agencies in the USA. Though your credit score is intertwined with nearly every aspect of your life, the government is not involved and has no authority or input on determining your credit score. These agencies use an algorithm based primarily on 5 factors to calculate your FICO/credit score (Fair Isaac Corporation). To be clear, your FICO score is used by creditors to determine the risk they are taking to lend you money. Simply put, the higher the score the lower their risk. Your score is comprised of and weighted in accordance with the following percentages: Payment History 35%, Amounts Owed 30%, Length of Credit History 15%, New Credit 10%, Types of Credit Used.

8| Why are there so many errors on my credit report?

It would be fair to assume that since the bureaus not only collect your personal information but sell it as well, that they would do a stellar job at ensuring that everything is current and accurate. However, that is not always the case. The cost and resources needed to investigate every consumers’ individual credit report is not a priority of the credit reporting agencies. As a result, you as the consumer is responsible to determine the accuracy of your information.

9| I’ve been told that accurately reporting items on my credit report are required by law to report for 7 years, is that true?

No, that isn’t accurate information. Statistics show that a high percentage of all credit reports contain errors, and the burden of proof as previously stated, is on you as the consumer. The bureaus don’t have the time or resources to go back and make sure everything is reporting correctly. Here is where the consumer wins – if an item on your credit report is outdated, incorrect, or unverifiable, it must be removed and deleted.

10| Can I Pay for My Services All At the Same Time?

NO WAY!!! And you should not want to - anyone who is trying to get you to pay for work that has not been completed is just trying to get your money! This why we only charge you for work that has been completed and give you the right to cancel your monthly payments at anytime. We want to earn your business!

11| Can You Remove Accurate, Verifiable Information?

NO, and anyone who tells you different is lying to you! Creditors have a legal right to report accurate information to the credit reporting agencies, if they choose to exercise this right and the information is negative it may take up to 7 years for the items to be removed from your credit report.

12| What Should I Do About Collections Reporting?

IF IT'S LEGIT - PAY IT! There is no magic solution that just makes debt magically go away. Even if the reporting of an item is inaccurate and it is removed from your credit report the debt may be valid and still owed. To keep your credit looking great make sure to pay all bills in a timely fashion. If you owe money you need to pay it or it very well may have a negative impact on your credit scores.
